Passionate Channel Challenge Organizer 1986 - 2021
Many of you will recognize the smiling face of Dennis Harris who has been an integral organizer of the events run by the Woolamai Beach SLSC since the inaugural Channel Challenge of 1986.
Dennis and his wife, Kathy, became involved with the Surf Club when their two daughters, Sarah & Kylie, started as Nippers before progressing to become Bronze Medallion lifesavers and like many of us he thought Channel Challenge Day was his favourite day of the year and he worked tirelessly to ensure its success.
We will all miss him but there will be a Memorial Trophy struck for the first Senior Female Competitor home to commemorate his involvement and that of his family.
